Jeff Koons

Red Balloon Dog (Prototype/Test Firing), 1995
Metallic porcelain
One of the first prototypes before the edition of the first Balloon Dog (red) with the unsigned, unrealized name plate sticker on verso.  This Jeff Koons porcelain piece was one of the approved Pre-production samples before the change of the nameplates.  Later they became a white plastic disc. The piece has been in the same possession since 1995 and was acquired by the initial creative director of the project. The work is in the original box with the original prototype packaging. (The actual edition has a different Styrofoam packaging) This includes the original box and styrofoam with markings and nomenclature. Includes plastic stand.
